Veterans Memorial Park Pensacola

The mission of Pensacola Veterans Memorial Park is to honor the memory of those who have given their lives in the service and defense of the United States of America. In demonstrating by example the sacrifice that love and duty sometime require of a free people they have placed themselves eternally in the grateful memory of all Americans. Veterans Memorial Park exists as a place of repose and veneration for the spirits of the slain, to be kept forever free of discord and contention.

The Veterans Memorial Park Foundation of Pensacola is a 501.c.3 Charitable|Nonprofit organization that is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. [https://db.tt/ii1DlCj7]

The City of Pensacola owns the property that the Veterans Park is situated on and there is a License Agreement [https://db.tt/KkSw8anV] that transfers authority from the City to the Foundation and its Board of Directors to oversee and manage all aspects of the Park and it's precious tenants... the solemn Memorials to those who did not come home in the defense of this great nation. This authority also extends to the decision making pertaining to future Memorials and the Master Planning of the future of the Park. We do keep the City of Pensacola's Mayor and Council abreast of major decisions as a matter of mutual respect and professionalism.

The Foundation received its approval to solicit contributions effective 1 July 2013 [https://db.tt/jiR4kbLP]. The Foundation receives zero public funds or taxpayer dollars for the day-to-day upkeep and operational expenses for the Park's groundskeeping, irrigation, landscaping, capital improvements, etc. Furthermore, we receive zero public funds or taxpayer dollars for the Memorial refurbishment projects or the design and creation of future Memorials such as the recently added Minuteman Memorial or the approved [future] Memorial to the Global War on Terror.

The Foundation is 100% reliant on private contributions from individuals, organization's and businesses such as the recent grant award from the Pensacola chapter of IMPACT 100 that awarded the Foundation the funds for a major plumbing project that now prevents the Vietnam Memorial Wall South from being flooded when we experience heavy rains.

We hope you will join us, and this incredible military & Veteran friendly community, as we put forth energy into expanding the Park's education outreach to the greater Gulf Coast community and beyond as well as our fund raising efforts for the Park's benefit.
