More about Vintage Street Rodders of America

VSRA is dedicated to the True Street Rodder who drives builds and maintains his or her Pre-49 Street Rod. We put on street rod shows that are restricted to Pre-40 vehicles only. To be recognized as a VSRA Pick you have to have driven your rod the show and have at least 1,000 miles on it. We have a monthly newsletter that is sent to all the members to keep them informed of all VSRA news and we also have a tecnical article pertaining to street rod building.
East Tenn. Distillery is our only hosting company involved at present. They host our Thunder Road Rod Run in Piney Flats Tenn.
Because of the expense of building a street rod our age group is usually from 45 up to 75.
We do not have coupons although we did sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a 350 Chevy engine this year.
Next year we will be selling tickets to win a nostalgic gas pump.

We will be set up at the following shows selling T-shirts, Memberships and promoting our shows: Cruisin the Beach in Myrtle Beach SC. on Oct. 16th, 17th and 18th East Coast Indoor Nationals In Timonium, Maryland on Dec.6 and 7. Run to the Sun car show in Myrtle Beach, SC. on March 19th, 20th and 21st.
Our first event next year is the Ohio Nationals in Medina, Ohio on June 26th and 27th.
Our next event in in Piney Flats, Tn. on Sept. 25th and 26th. The day after this show we go on our Vintage Rod Tour for about a week. We have not planned our destination yet.

We have merchandise for sale on our website and would like to put some items on ebay.
We have VSRA Reps in several different states who help promote VSRA for memberships and our shows.
I (Jim) make all of the final decisions. I do a monthly Newsletter with the help of Ron Goben who does a technical article. Dorothy Donihe is our webmaster who helps with the website and sends out the Newsletter. My wife Debbie keeps the books and and handles registration at the shows. I handle all the logistics as far as the schedule and parking at the shows.
