VIRGINIA EYE CLINIC DR. TIMOTHY J. WILSON & ASSOCIATES, OPTOMETRISTS

Dr. Wilson received his undergraduate degree from Eastern College in 1986 and his Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1991. In addition to receiving training in contact lens care, pediatrics and low vision, Dr. Wilson’s education afforded him the opportunity to participate in an externship program at the Omni Eye Center in Atlanta, GA in 1990. There he gained valuable experience with the treatment and management of eye disease, with a specific interest in glaucoma.

After graduating from PCO, Dr. Wilson began serving the Lynchburg community working under C.M. Suttenfield, M.D. He worked under Dr. Suttenfield for four years before purchasing the Virginia Eye Clinic. Within a year, he opened the Virginia Eye Clinic’s second location in Forest, VA.

Dr. Wilson has been serving the Lynchburg community for over 20 years and annually provides school screening throughout Lynchburg Schools and the surrounding areas. He is a member of the American and Virginia Optometric Associations. He attends annual education seminars staying current on the latest technology and clinical procedures in Optometry. He is married to Melinda, his wife of 18 years, and currently resides in Forest, Virginia with his wife, their three children and dog. In his spare time, he enjoys the many joys of being a dad and spending time with his family.

In 1997, Dr. Wilson added Dr. Cathy Anderson to his practice. Dr. Anderson is very much apart of the Virginia Eye Clinic family. Dr. Anderson, a native of Forest, Virginia, received her undergraduate degree from Lynchburg College and her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She excels in providing care for all ages, with specific interest in pediatric vision. She has a personal professional demeanor that puts children and adults alike at ease.

She is a member of both the American and Virginia Optometric Associations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters as well as volunteering with H.I.S. Ministries where she serves as a board member. has a wonderful way at putting one at ease, especially children. Dr. Anderson is a native of Forest, VA.
