Oregon City is a city of firsts. The first incorporated city west of the rockies, it was a Promised Land to pioneers and life to Native Americans. The Official End of the Oregon Trail has more than just history to offer to the visitor. It is an area full of sites and sights, from down along the Willamette River from the bank to boat, shopping and dining that gives any big city a run for it's money, to beautiful vistas full of grape heavy vines. It is more than meets the eye and is ready for exploring, much like the people from the past. Heritage sites welcome you, small shop owners beckon you and farm owners greet you, to stop, shop and stay.
