About Us
Job-training and job placement efforts are extremely effective ways to
eradicate poverty, support healthy families, and create strong communities.
Each year the FACES SF Visitacion Valley Neighborhood Access Point
provides skills-building workshops, coaching, resources, and referrals for
more than 1,000 individuals age 18 to 50, most of whom are low-income,
single parents, and/or high school graduates without steady work histories.
Candidates practice interviewing, develop career plans and action steps,
such as improving literacy skills or completing a GED, and have
opportunities to meet prospective employers. The program also provides job
search and placement services, continuing education assistance, and case
management.
