Vitruvian Farms was founded by Shawn Kuhn, Craig Merten and Tommy Stauffer in June of 2010.

Vitruvian Farms is an organic farm located in McFarland, less than 7 miles from the center of downtown Madison. As is the symbolism behind our name, our farm aims to follow three principles: Balance, Beauty and Proportionality. We also believe in the artisan concept: We farm on a small amount of land, utilizing every foot; we harvest, wash and pack all by hand. More than anything we believe in connecting with our food. We strive to farm using all of these concepts and hope to instill them in others throughout our community.

We are rooted on the basic ideas of community and sustainability. This begins with providing a great food source and continues with providing a place for the community to come together and be apart of something special. Farming is only the beginning of the amazing ideas and plans we have in the works for the future
