Voorhees Animal Orphanage

Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) was founded in 1988, and we are hoping to complete a campaign for a NEW building in time for our 30th Anniversary! We are the community shelter, providing services for cats and dogs in 17 towns across Camden County, NJ, as well as adoption services for the entire region. All animals receive food, shelter, and medical care, as well as spay/neuter and a microchip prior to adoption. More than half of the revenue necessary for operations is provided by a strong community of donors and supporters. An equally robust and cheerful community of hard-working volunteers supports our experienced staff members in providing care for all of the animals that come through our doors. VAO provides municipal sheltering services for the towns of: Audubon, Barrington, Berlin Boro, Berlin Twp, Cherry Hill, Chesilhurst, Gibbsboro, Gloucester City, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Laurel Springs, Lawnside, Merchantville, Stratford, Voorhees, Waterford Works and Woodlynne.
