Walker Memorial Academy

Walker Memorial Academy (WMA) is a Pre-K through 12th Grade Seventh-day Adventist school located in Avon Park, Florida. WMA serves the Highlands County area and strives to provide the highest quality education and opportunities for its students.

The teachers at WMA are dedicated professionals who work together with parents to ensure that each student receives a complete education – an education rich in academics, spiritual growth and physical education.

WMA students are exposed to more than learning in the traditional classroom. Many of their learning experiences take place out of doors. They participate in activities such as gardening, field trips, outdoor school and even archaeological digs.

WMA is blessed with an excellent music program. The musical groups include: Concert Band, Beginngers' Band, (two) Steel Drum Bands, a Bell Choir, Elementary Choirs, Middle/High School Choirs and Third Grade Recorders. Private lessons are also offered.
