The Walker Family are currently third generation farmers following in the footsteps of their Grandfather and Father. The Walkers have been farming since 1949, and today farm over 12,00 acres in South East Idaho. We strive daily to have top quality produce that will satisfy and meet the needs of consumers who decides to choose our product from coast to coast.
Part of having the highest quality product is our commitment to food safety. Our Food Safety Policy is as follows:
"We are committed to providing customers with potatoes that are the highest quality and that complies with the requirements of both the USDA and PACA standards. To facilitate this commitment, we have implemented a food safety program that we make use of in everyday operations. Our program identifies the potential food safety program that we make use of in everyday operations. Our programs identifies the potential food safety hazards, introduces measures to control such hazards, and actions necessary to control and correct them. Our food safety program consists of:
Proper Raw Material Handling and Storage
Highest level of standards for In-bound and Out-bound transportation
Daily Water Sampling
Proper Processing and packaging Operations
Premier Training To Employees and Staff
Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures
Recall Procedures
Annual Third-Party Food Safety Audits performed.

We are constantly striving to improve our good manufacturing and food safety file requirement practices.
