David Walsh, Bowlmaker

David Walsh is a Pennsylvania-based artist and woodworker. His award-winning work has been featured and sold in galleries throughout the United States including the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian. A lifelong woodworker, David first started woodturning in 1998 and quickly gained a following as “David Walsh, The Bowlmaker”. His prolific body of work exceeds 13,000 signed and numbered bowls that range in size from miniature to enormous. Currently, his smallest pieces are 1.5” in diameter to his largest at 2 feet across.

Stephanie Walsh is the Pennsylvania-based daughter of David Walsh, The Bowlmaker! Stephanie works primarily as a teaching artist in theatre, theatre education, and music and has performed, directed and taught all over the world. While relatively new to woodturning, pen turning has quickly turned into a passion. When not on the road, Stephanie is in the workshop covered in wood shavings and honing her skills.
