Warwick Career Transition Group

This group is a great resource and a welcoming place for those considering or are currently in a career transition. We share stories, techniques, resources and, thankfully, laughs.

We meet the second Thursday of every month: 7:00pm-8:30pm.

Warwick Career Transition Group offers support and skills training including updating resumes, interviewing tips, networking skills and gaining confidence during the job search. The group is open to anyone considering or undergoing a career transition. The group meets weekly at Christ Church and occasionally collaborates with individuals and organizations to sponsor in depth programs and targeted workshops.

The meetings are informal and provide the benefits of networking, resume critique by peers, occasional speakers, and a degree of support. The standard format is a quick introduction from everyone stating names and what they are searching for. The group tackles various topics such as: the biggest problems in the job search, interview techniques, using social media, age discrimination, and mapping a career search strategy. Each meeting is lead by a facilitator and as a whole the group tries to supportively deal with whatever issues are critical at the time.

Christ Church supplies coffee and tea to go with the snacks. The group is open to anyone regardless of religious affiliation.
