Washington Township Police Department

The Board of Supervisors established and founded the police department in 1964 with the hiring of one officer/chief. The townships first official police vehicle (Dodge Polara) was purchased in 1966 for $2,524.00.
The current police force is composed of the Chief of Police, four full-time officers and one part-time officer.

The Township is consisted of 17.93 square miles with an approximate population of 5, 200 residents.
