Weber Motor Company

Established in 1937, Weber Motor Company in Cuero is part of a very elite group of Texas dealerships by remaining in the same family for 76 years.
Now owned and operated by the third generation of Webers, our commitment to our customers and the Crossroads community has never changed. During their our 75th Anniversary, our Dad (Michael C. Weber, Jr.) reiterated that commitment: “We are still interested in building our town, we still value our loyal customers, and we couldn’t do anything without the Weber Motor Company gang and the quality cars and trucks that Ford Motor Company builds.”

In a 1937 edition of the Cuero Record, our grandfather, M. Clifton Weber was quoted, “My sister and I have decided to accept the Ford franchise and enter the Ford business because we believe in the future of Cuero and the territory it serves. We are interested in building our city and intend to do our share in helping to bring about its progress.” During our anniversary, Dad added, “My Dad had insisted that Ford accept my aunt as his 50-50 partner. Without her they were not going to get him and it could very well be that she was the first woman car dealer in Texas”.

After growing up in all aspects of dealership operations, from washing and detailing vehicles to daily operations in service and sales, sons Cliff and Richard officially operate the dealership in the same spirit and with the same pride exhibited by father, grandfather, and great aunt. Their dedication to outstanding customer service and sales performance has most recently earned them the 2013 Ford President’s Award, given to only a handful of dealers throughout the United States.
