Weed School, District No. 11, of the Fulton School System was located on County Route 45, north of County Route 176, (Whitaker Rd) in the Town of Volney. The first school was approximately 75 years old when destroyed by fire on January 6, 1936. A new school was built and dedicated on August 27, 1936. The school was closed in 1960.
