The population density was 1,740.7 people per square mile (672.3/km²). There were 4,069 housing units at an average density of 700.1/sq mi (270.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.44% White, 1.22% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.56% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.75% from other races, and 0.80% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.42% of the population.There were 3,933 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.5% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.92.
