More about Wells House

This 490 occupancy co-ed residence hall houses seven male floors and nine female floors (two female floors contain the First Year Experience and Sophomore Year Experience LLC programs). While the mains and west wing are the traditional two person rooms, the east wing consists of four person suites (with the traditional community style bathroom). The residents of Wells enjoy a large grand lounge with a pool and ping pong table as well as foosball. There are study lounges on every floor as well as three additional common spaces off of the grand lounge. The entire building is equipped with the latest wireless internet technology.
Wells House is the oldest residence hall on the Missouri State campus. The original structure (the west wing) was built in 1950 and was named the Women’s Residence Hall. In July of 1967 the building was renamed Wells House in honor of N. Bertha Wells, the Dean of Women from 1915-1955. The building increased in size over the years with the additions of the mains, the east wing, and two additional floors on top of the original structure. In 2005 the building reopened after a complete renovation where it continues to be a great place to develop lifelong friendships!
