West Central Printing - Willmar MN

The downtown Willmar building that houses West Central Printing (WCP) has seen a lot of local history in its 115 years. The building was once the home of Tribune Printing Company (a part of the West Central Tribune in earlier times), Nelsen's Hardware Store, Modern Beauty Salon, and Model Printery. It was also the location of C.A. Wenerland Jewelry Store, which was later purchased by Paffrath Jewelry.

Owner Stephen Deleski started working at West Central Printing in March of 1979 and purchased the business in 1987. Stephen's wife Laura first worked at WCP from 1989 to 1991 and then returned in March 1995.

Stephen and Laura recently completed expansion and renovation where a single story addition has been constructed to offer more retail space, and brick work has been added to the north and west sides of the original building. They invite you to stop by and see all that they have to offer—it’s much more than printing!

One of their specialties is wedding stationary, and they offer a large selection of invitations, programs, save the dates, and more for brides all over the country. They have some unique pocket-style invitations as well as many other styles. West Central Printing customizes every job, so brides can even design their own unique invitations from the very beginning if they choose.

West Central Printing offers black-and-white copies, color copies (up to 13 x 19"), and offset printing, as well as many other services and products. Some of the other items they print include business cards, envelopes, carbonless forms, brochures, newsletters, raffle tickets, and much more. Just ask!

The company can even do large format posters, prints, and signs on several different materials, including canvas and laminating up to 42" wide. They also offer locally produced promotional items such as pens, key chains, calendars, etc.

For the do-it-yourselfer or crafter, WCP offers over 200 different papers for sale by the sheet, including pre-cut and scored blank cards and envelopes, as well as a selection of scrapbooking items including fun ancestry/family tree items for the genealogy buff. Holiday letterhead designs are also in stock for those who like to create Christmas letters. There is also a full line of Trodat self-inking stamps for addresses, deposit, and notary stamps available.

West Central Printing also offers some interesting items that you wouldn’t normally find at a print shop, such as WoodWick candles, reed diffusers, and car scents. WoodWick candles make a great gift; they actually make a crackling sound when they burn from the wooden wick in the center, and the reed diffusers can last up to a year!

If you are a long-time resident of the area you may remember the old Carnegie Library or the old Post Office on Litchfield Avenue. Another fun item offered is old photographs of the Willmar area. Some prints are ready for sale or they will custom print whatever size you need from their collection of prints.
