The West Seattle Community Orchestras welcome all musicians, beginning to advanced, young to antique. Each group is open to all ages, youth through adult, with informal auditions for placement in one of the three different orchestras to suit your individual skill level:
West Seattle Debut Orchestra, Daniel Rossi, Conductor –
This group is for those who are just getting started playing, young and old. Through a generous grant from The Wallace Foundation through the Seattle Youth Symphony, the Westside Strings has professional players giving individual instruction and group coaching.
West Seattle Intermediate Orchestra, Toni Reineke, Conductor –
This ensemble is for those that may only have a few years experience or have advanced from the Debut Orchestra. This group will give you the full symphony experience, a unique opportunity in West Seattle.
West Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Rob Duisberg, Conductor –
Our top orchestra, playing standard symphonic repertoire.
Participation in the West Seattle Community Orchestras is offered free of charge to all students K-12. We ask adults to contribute $65 per semester toward our costs.
