West Sebring Volunteer Fire Department

The West Sebring Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking firefighters and support members.

Be part of a progressive, volunteer emergency response organization serving citizens in Highlands County.

Free training is provided.

Basic Firefighter Requirements:

1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Complete application to include full criminal background check
3. Present yourself to the members at the Monthly Business Meeting (7:00 PM First Monday of the month)
4. Completion of New Hire Orientation (No prior training required)
5. Completion of Florida Firefighter I within 12 months of joining (Paid for by us, and offered several times yearly)
6. Active participation in response to calls for service
7. Attendance at monthly meetings / trainings
