West Shady Grove Baptist Church

We are a group of imperfect people, overwhelmingly loved by our perfect God. We believe that each of us has fallen away from God's perfect plan and needs His restoration. God, being compassionate and merciful, sent His Son, Jesus to the world to live the sinless life that we were incapable of living on our own. He died on the cross, as an atonement for the sins of mankind. He received the death that each of us deserved, in our sinful state. For those of us who believe, Jesus gives us His righteousness and bridges the gap between God and Man. Because of this great love that we have been shown, we choose to live our lives fully dedicated to Him.

We strive to love others with compassion and acceptance, as we have been loved beyond compare. In Matthew 28:16, Jesus gave us our mission as Christians - "Go and make disciples." It is our mission to reach into the Blue Ridge, Trenton, and Whitewright communities with the love of Christ. We love and serve our community by praying for one another, helping to meet needs in our community, and participating in events to engage our church in the community. We do not do these things in an attempt to "make ourselves holy," but rather to share Jesus with those around us. He is the one who taught us what it means to love.
