West Swain Fire Department

We are a Volunteer Department that covers the western part of Swain County, NC. Our mission is to protect those who live in our community as well as the visitors who enjoy visiting the area. We work closely with Swain County EMS, Swain County Rescue Squad, both NC and US Forest Services, and both Alarka Fire Departent and Bryson City Fire Department to provide the best protection possible for the County of Swain. We also provide/receive mutual aid to surrounding counties when assistance is needed.
