Dr. Katz has been practicing at Westside Orthopaedic CLinic for over 19 years, and has been performing minimally invasive procedures for the past decade. He has performed over 500 minimally invasive procedures and his patients’ outcomes are consistently excellent.

For the right patient, who has failed conservative treatment (i.e. – medication, PT, injections), a minimally invasive microdiscectomy can be done in an outpatient setting with an incision that can be covered by a band-aid. The procedure typically takes less than an hour. Most patients can return to normal activities within 3 to 6 weeks, depending on his/her individual circumstances. Appointments are made in a timely manner. Dr. Katz can usually see new patients the same day. Additionally, diagnostic testing (i.e. – x-rays, EMG/NCS, MRIs) can be conveniently performed at Westside Orthopaedic Clinic or nearby at one of several imaging facilities.
