Weweantic is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Wareham in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 2,105 at the 2010 census.GeographyWeweantic is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.6 km², of which 3.3 km² is land and 1.3 km² is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 1,903 people, 730 households, and 522 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 578.5/km² (1,500.0/mi²). There were 857 housing units at an average density of 260.5/km² (675.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 89.07% White, 2.79% African American, 0.95% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 3.84% from other races, and 2.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.26% of the population.There were 730 households out of which 27.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 12.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.4% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.08.
