Wheatland Lanes was originally opened on October 24, 1959 in the basement of the Colfax Grain Growers building. It immediately became a gathering place for the community, drawing hundreds of bowlers and creating hundreds more.
The crashing sound of pins dwindled over the years as in many communities as technology advanced and more interesting things came along. In fact, Wheatland Lanes suffered the same fate as many current bowling centers, reduced league play and failing to generate new bowlers.
In October 2013, the bowling center was purchased by TDB Bowling Enterprises, a Limited Liability Company led by regional PBA pro and avid bowler Andre Eubanks. Andre's focus and vision is centered around youth bowling, as it is his belief that the youth are the future of the sport.
