Whetstone Valley Stables is in the business of healing. We offer an opportunity for healing of the heart, mind, and spirit through the use of Equine Assisted Therapy.

Horses by nature are very sensitive animals and react to peoples; verbal, nonverbal, and emotional cues. This makes them useful in identifying and understanding issues.

At WVS we incorporate horses to bring out a persons best potential. Horses provide in the moment non-judgmental feedback and often precipitate an “Aha” moment.
Their size and power can be intimidating which provides an opportunity to overcome fear and develop self-confidence. The experiential treatment horses provide can help clients gain a clearer understanding of themselves.
We utilize a team approach certified by EAGALA incorporating a Mental Health professional, and an Equine professional working with horses and clients to address treatment goals. Therapy is ground based, solution oriented and adheres to a strict code of ethics.

Our therapy is effective for team building, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, family and marriage relationships, abuse, and trauma.
