Whileaway Cottage

Completed in 1916, Whileaway Cottage is one of the original cottages in the Village of Pinehurst. This home was designed for entertaining in the casual, elegant style that has come to epitomize life in the Sandhills. The land this home sits on was purchased in 1908 by Simeon B. Chapin, one of the developers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Chapin built this and 5 other homes within blocks of Whileaway. The Chapin family occupied this home until 1952.
