White Pine Academy

White Pine Academy was founded in 1999 by a group of parents who wanted a better education for their children. They had a belief that all children can learn and teachers should teach with high expectations so all students will improve. With that in mind, they created White Pine Academy; a K-8 charter school located in Leslie, Michigan. Their philosophy was simple; back to the basics with an emphasis on math and reading. They researched the best math and reading curriculum offered and chose Saxon Math and Direct Instruction Reading. Because of their dedication, we focus on curriculum and students, along with small class sizes. This helps foster our students' success.
