Wichita Mountain's Estates Volunteer Fire Department

The Wichita Mountain's Estates Volunteer Fire Department (WMEVFD) serves the approximately 2,500 residents (2010 census) of the unincorporated area of Lawton - to the north of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. WMEVFD is also contracted out by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to provide fire protection and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Comanche Tribal lands.


WMEVFD is authorized 20 firefighter positions and operates five various apparatus, which include:

-2004 Ford F-450, 500 gallon brush truck

-1988 Pierce Dash, 1000 gallon engine-pumper
(Engine 12)

-1989 Peterbuilt, 3750 gallon tanker

-1999 Chevy Suburban
(Rescue 12 )

-2012 Ford F-150
(Chief 12)

2015 Toyota Tundra
(Chief 212)
