The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is 59,020 acres of granite mountains, mixed grass prairie and remnant cross-timbers. Over 15 miles of designated hiking trails are available to the public and a state-of-the-art Visitor Center is located at the intersection of Highway 115 and 49.
