I'm Wil McCarley, a photographer based in Amarillo Texas specializing in commercial photography and portraits.

Every photograph I take is the result of many years learning and gaining experience in bringing out the best in someone or something. A photograph is not just a piece of paper, it's a moment frozen in time that is priceless. I believe your photographic images should capture that essence which is truly you. There’s only one person in this world like you. You have your own unique look, personality, taste and style. Capturing that essence takes artistry, preparation, and time. I take the time to see the things that make you special, and create images that reflect your spirit.

Imagine a photo session where your time is reserved for you and you are not rushed. You are able to bring several changes of clothes and items such as musical instruments, sports equipment, or collectibles that reflect the different facets of your personality. Clothing changes are only limited by the time we have, usually 3 or 4 in an hour. You can bring some extras so we'll have choices to match up with the setting. You can bring your own music to set your mood.

Maybe you have a favorite outdoor location or a special place in your home where you would like your portraits made. You don’t have to think within the boundaries of the studio. All types of sessions are available in the studio or on location: Senior, Child, Baby, Pregnancy, Bridal, Engagement, Couples, Family, Business.

My studio is located in the historical Plemons district near downtown Amarillo within minutes of many excellent locations.

My photo sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I take my time and pay attention to details, striving to capture your unique and natural expression. I watch for the way the light casts a shadow on your face, giving depth. I watch for the way it highlights your hair and shoulders. That's the dance of shadows and light. I look for creative and innovative shots and enjoy trying something different. I like to hear your ideas, those may create the best images. I want your images to be unique and reflect your true spirit.
