Wild Onions

After three years of retirement in beautiful Cleveland, Tennessee my husband and I decided to start an adventure and open a sandwich shop. We are truly a family owned and operated business. My husband John is Mr. Fix-it, son Jeremy won't be often seen as he's in the kitchen cooking, daughter Sarah is the decorator and construction assistant, son-in-law Kenney is the carpenter, grandson Kyle is the dishwasher, and I'm the cashier.

We love the location of our restaurant with the huge Tennessee front porch. It's the former site of Stadium Barbeque. They relocated after a fire to Keith Street. Searching for a restaurant location, I pressed my face against the door window one morning, and Barry thought I wanted to order barbeque. He ended up being one of my two landlords.

Everyone wants to know how we came up with the name, Wild Onions. I wish I had a short answer but basically our kids thought our suggestions were boring (Jeremy's Kitchen), and we thought their names were crazy (Fat Badger). Wild Onions was the first name we all liked. I did think it was a good sign from the Lord when I saw wild onions growing by our sign by the greenway exercise path.
