One of our goals: Statutory protections for native non-game, unprotected furbearers, and wildlife for which there are no bag limits. One of those protections includes getting statutory protections that end wildlife killing contests.
Which native species are classified as non-game, unprotected furbearers, and minimally protected species? Coyotes and skunks are classified as unprotected furbearers. Other non-game (and unprotected) native species include porcupine, prairie dogs, rabbits, and ground squirrels. Native species for which there are no bag limits and few restrictions include (but are not limited to) raccoon, badger, weasel, fox, ringtail, bobcat, muskrat, and beaver, most snakes and reptiles.
