More about William Renton Lodge No. 29

Named after the public figure and Port Blakely Mill founder Captain William S. Renton, the lodge was chartered in 1879. Captain Renton himself was a member of Union Lodge #23 in Newry Ireland. His nephew John A. Campbell was one of the charter members and the second Master of Renton Lodge No. 29, Free & Accepted Masons of Washington.

Until a fire destroyed the building in the 1950's, Renton lodge was located on the south end of Bainbridge Island at Port Blakely. The reconstructed lodge is located across from the Bainbridge Island High School at the corner of Grow Avenue and High School Road.
