We are a private organization which receives and distributes criminal tip information to law enforcement. Phones are NOT manned 24-hrs a day, but you may leave a message of the date/time you will call back. Callers who choose to take a call ID may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of a person(s).

We do NOT use traps, traces or caller ID to track callers. Your information is completely confidential.

Chief Dan McGee of the Montpelier Police Department is the coordinator, but does NOT make any organizational decisions. A private board is set up to make organizational decisions [ 501(c)3 ]. Crime Stoppers is NOT a law enforcement organization and has NO lawful authority to arrest. If you need immediate help call 9-1-1.
