More about Williamson County Master Gardeners Association

Master Gardeners currently volunteer in projects to beautify the Carter House, Carnton Plantation, and Harpeth Terrace, along with many more activities. The association also makes grants of horticultural materials to organizations as well as financial grants to organizations, educators, and students to further horticulture and related educational pursuits.

We have a monthly meeting that always features an interesting garden presentation, as well as garden outings, field trips and picnics throughout the year. We all have fun swapping plants and ideas, as well as tips from the more experienced of the group.

You can become a Master Gardener by completing the 13-week Master Gardener classes and fulfilling the requisite volunteer hours. The University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service teaches the course held at the County Ag Expo Park, beginning in January and ending in April.

Once you have completed the course work, we encourage you to join the Williamson County Master Gardeners Association, Inc. Also, please join us if you are a certified Master Gardener from another state moving to our county.
