The Winchester Fire-Emergency Medical Services is responsible for the provision of fire suppression, fire prevention, public education, fire inspection, fire investigation, rescue, and hazardous materials response within the City. These emergency services are delivered from three stations located in the City.
Additionally Winchester Fire-EMS provides EMS (ambulance services) to all of Clark County.
As a member of the Bluegrass Emergency Response Team, the department provides hazardous materials response to the region.
The Department provides child safety seat checks, installation, and education for the owners, CPR/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) classes, and Project Lifesaver (a tracking system for persons who may wander due to medical conditions) services.
