More about Wiregrass Wounded Warriors

After much though and attempts to get some support from the wounded warrior project for a few local warriors, I decided to act. Amidst the current scandal, wether true or false, I wanted to make sure our local warriors had not just what they needed, but what they wanted also. Current news reports that the heads of the wounded warrior project receive a salary of over $300,000 a year and have mismanaged donations. It is not my place to determine if this is true or false. I know they do a lot of good also, but In my on opinion this is a disgrace. That salary money could take hundreds of wounded warriors hunting, fishing, to the beach, to Disney, on a cruise, and a multitude of other places. By no way do I discourage you from supporting and giving to the wounded warrior project corporation. I just wanted to start something that would be on a local level and not a national level. Something that would directly effect local wounded warriors in a way that could be seen and appreciated and the money tracked. Our goal is not just to raise money. We are also looking for volunteers. Fisherman, hunters, and land owners who are willing to take a weekend or two a year to help pay back those who have given so much and still suffer daily. Something as simple as buying a gift certificate to the movies, or offering a free lawn service, discount handyman services, etc. No gift is to small or to large. We want to continue under the same goals as the WWP but on a much more local target area. I thank you for visiting our site and appreciate you taking the time to read about us and our future goals.
If you think you can help, or want to help and just don't know what you can do, please contact us. We are always in need of people to help with leg work"

.We are in the process of applying for our 501(3)(c) non-profit status. Please understand it takes time and money. So any current donations are NOT tax deductible until after this status has been approved by the state and the IRS.

Again, thank you for your time and your dedication to our American Heroes,
