More about Wisconsin Colon and Rectal Clinic

History

The clinic was established in 1986 by Dr. M. J. Falk, who had practiced with one of Green Bay’s larger groups for many years. Dr. Falk, a family practitioner, envisioned his care of patients as a conduit of The Lord’s healing works. With an awareness of his patients’ physical and spiritual needs, Dr. Falk endeavored to treat the wholeness of his patients. He practiced this way until he retired in 2003.

In 1993, Dr. Falk’s son, Dr. Peter M. Falk, joined the practice as the first fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon in Northeast Wisconsin. The practice grew with the addition of more family practitioners and surgeons. In 2002, Dr. Scott L. Ruggles became the second fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon in the group. Over the next few years, the practice became increasingly more focused on surgical services and changed its name to NEW Surgical Associates. In 2014, a new chapter began when the clinic became Wisconsin Colon & Rectal Clinic to specialize primarily in colon and rectal care. While our name has changed, we carry on Dr. M. J. Falk’s tradition of Christian-based care.

Practice Philosophy

Jesus said “those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do.” [Luke 5:31]. Our mission is seeking Jesus Christ’s healing.

God has provided for us and shall supply all our needs. He has sent us peace through Jesus Christ. And he has empowered us through the Holy Spirit.

We believe in revealing God’s love by providing specialized, compassionate health care. Our aim is to provide bodily care and spiritual comfort. We strive to be humble, respectful and caring.

We believe in Jesus Christ’s healing. Jesus said “I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world”[John 16:33].
