Witten Farm Market & Greenhouse

The Witten Farm was founded by Ralph and Frances Witten in 1958. The business began as a dairy farm with just a few acres of vegetables. Jerry (Ralph and Frances's oldest son) and his wife Bonnie expanded the vegetable operation to supply homegrown vegetables all over Ohio. Siblings Julie, Tom, and Scott Witten, 3rd generation farmers, manage the farm today.

The Witten Farm grows a wide variety of fruits and vegetables on the family farm and sells them throughout Southeastern Ohio and West Virginia. Our multiple, convenient farm markets allow us to bring fresh, local produce closer to the people. We grow numerous varieties of sweet corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes, and other vegetables. Our (Super Sweet!) sweet corn is known throughout Southeastern Ohio and West Virginia and keeps our customers coming back for more.

In 1995 Julie started growing flowers and has since added several greenhouses for annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, and specialty containers. These are also sold at several market locations in early Spring. The Witten Farm Markets are a favorite stop for Mother's Day gifts.

The Witten Farm grows approximately 90% of the vegetables that are sold at the markets. We also purchase produce from other local vegetable farmers in order to supplement our inventory of fruits and vegetables. Our goal is to bring a wide variety of exceptional locally grown fruits and vegetables to our customers everyday.
