The Wohl Eye Center is the premier ophthalmology office in the western suburbs of Chicago. Founded by Dr. Lisa G. Wohl, in October, 1991, the Wohl Eye Center has helped thousands of patients with their eye care needs. Dr. Lisa Wohl has been a practicing comprehensive eye care specialist for 28 years with a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery, corneal refractive therapy, and dry eye management. She has been recognized by her peers for her excellence as a physician, and was elected to serve as the President of the Medical Staff at GlenOaks Hospital from 2006-2010. Dr. Wohl was also awarded the coveted Ethics Award by the hospital staff in 2012.

Dr. Wohl has carefully chosen other physicians to work with her, including Dr. Joshi, who completed a prestigious fellowship in glaucoma at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr Joshi is fluent in Spanish, Gujarati and Hindi. Two other specialists who work part time at the Wohl Eye Center complete the wide range of eye care available at the Wohl Eye Center. Dr. Susan Vierling is a fellowship trained retinal specialist and Dr. John Michon is a fellowship trained oculoplastic specialist who formerly was on the academic staff in the department of ophthalmology at Duke University.

The optometrists at the Wohl Eye Center are Dr. Lee, who is specially trained in low vision aids, Dr. Slotwinski who specializes in pediatric optometry and is fluent in Polish, and Dr. Patel who graduated with high honors from optometry school and is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.

Availability

The Wohl Eye Center is eager to meet your needs for convenient eye care. The office is open Monday through Saturday with evening hours Monday to Thursday. We always have an on-call physician available for emergency eye care.

Affordability

The doctors at the Wohl Eye Center believe that everyone should have access to the highest quality eye care. We accept a wide variety of insurances, including accepting Medicare assignment, Medicaid, and participate in most commercial insurance plans as well as many PPO’s and HMO’s. We also participate in many vision care plans including VSP and Eyemed. For self-pay patients, the Wohl Eye Center offers special pricing for eye exams.
