"We serve God by being of service to others." With that being said, we often refer to WOTRN as a ministry. WOTRN sponsors many events throughout Edgefield, Aiken, and surrounding counties all in hopes of females learning to love God and themselves, which leads to empowerment! Although we offer some events that are centered around "giving", we strongly believe true empowerment comes from gaining knowledge... With that being said, WOTRN sponsors at least 6 events yearly which are as follows: Teen Expression (held in February & March of each year. This is where we educate teenagers on the value of abstinence. The goal of the event is to promote self-love & decrease teenage pregnancy), Prep For Prom (held in April. We prepare girls for one of the most memorable nights of their lives, their prom night by giving away free dresses and free hair dos), We participate in Edgefield County's Annual Relay For Life held in April of each year, our anniversary celebration is held in June of each year, College Prep (we mentally prepare first time college students for the demands of college life and give away gift bags of toiletries), and our annual workshop and/or retreat is held in October of each year.
