Woodlands Church

We believe the Bible! Yep. All of it…from cover to cover. We believe that the Bible is the very word of God. It is timeless, truthful, and applies to all generations. Our church and faith are based entirely on the Bible and in all situations we return to the Word for answers and direction.

We believe that there is one true God who created the heavens and the earth. We believe that God created man in His own image and because of that life is sacred. Man was created with a free will and chose to sin against God.

Because of God’s great love for us He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins. Jesus is fully man and fully God. He lived a faultless life and offered it up as a sacrifice by dying on the cross for our sins. The only way that we can have eternal life is by believing in Him and making Him Lord of our lives.

Salvation is not something we earn or deserve but it is a free gift from God to all who believe by faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God's gift to the church and believers. It is through the Spirit that we are given wisdom, courage, and direction for our lives and church. We believe that we are to allow the Spirit to move within our lives and church and it is through Him that the community will be changed.

These are a few of the essential beliefs we hold at Woodlands. On these essential beliefs we have unity, on non-essential beliefs we have liberty, and in all beliefs we show love.

We have intentionally kept this statement short and to the point, covering only those beliefs that are considered essential. We understand that by focusing primarily on essential beliefs we must be prepared to accept a significant level of diversity on certain controversial issues.

Our prayer is that you and your family will find Woodlands to be a place you can call home, a place you are loved, and a place you can become more like Jesus.
