Woodside Leadership Institute

So what does the Woodside Leadership Institute have to offer?

1. Ministry Internships (May 25 – August 16, 2017): This is a three-month opportunity that will give you valuable hands-on learning experience working alongside pastors and ministry leaders. You will also connect with other interns to share and collaborate – it will be a summer packed with invaluable experience and fun.

2. Ministry Residency (September 13 – April 25, 2017): This a school calendar year experience designed for a select group of highly qualified men and women. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities. If you are a college or seminary graduate, local college student, or present seminary student, please consider applying.

3. Lead Campus Pastor in Residence: This is a one-year residency program for a pastoral candidate who has previous ministry experience. This candidate would serve at the Woodside Troy Campus for one year or more. They would also be given many opportunities to visit and minister on our with other campuses. Our goal is that when a new campus is started, we have a leader who could potentially fill that position.

4. Quarterly Leadership Gatherings: We are committed to encouraging and equipping regional pastors and ministry leaders through quarterly leadership gatherings led and facilitated by passionate scholars and practitioners who have a passion for church leaders and for discipleship multiplication. We recently had Dr. Bruce Ware (Southern Theological Seminary) and look forward to having Pastor John Dickerson on May 16, 2016 author of "The Great Evangelical Recession."

5. Graduate Level Training: Grace Theological Seminary has been in existence since 1937. Our mission is to be “a learning community dedicated to teaching, training, and transforming the whole person for local church and global ministry.” For more in-depth information of the seminary please see the website which is www.grace.edu/seminary. Grace Seminary currently has been engaged in a two year journey of listening to pastors, other ministry practitioners, students, alumni, and innovative seminary leaders to create a new model for effective delivery of relevant, high quality, competency-based, theological education and ministry training. The result is a program we call “Deploy”, which involves partnering with local churches to provide theological and ministry training within that local church or ministry context. 6. Retreat Center: Our brand new, state of the art retreat center on the coast of Lake Huron will host a variety of leadership development opportunities---we will be responsible for organizing and faciliting pastor enrichment experiences aimed at encouraging and equipping pastors.
