Worcester Pottery Invitational

The Worcester Pottery Invitational at the Worcester Center for Crafts in central Massachusetts takes place annually in April and features 22 studio potters.

It began in 2003, and was created by Karen Karnes and modeled after the Old Church Cultural Center Pottery Invitational in Demarest, NJ. Past curators include, Karen Karnes, Mark Shapiro, Hayne Bayless, and Hannah Niswonger. Julie Crosby and Kristen Kieffer curated the VII Invitational for 2014.

The Invitational’s primary mission is to celebrate handmade pottery, to bring great pots and their makers to central Massachusetts, and to provide an opportunity for those potters to share their work with the diverse population of greater New England.
