More about Word Harvest International Fellowship of Churches

Word Harvest International is an apostolic organization designed to offer quality sacred covering for independent churches and ministries. The organization is committed to strengthening Episcopates, Pastors and Laity in the overall development and cultivation of the church. The organization is governed by the Holy Bible and specifically operates under the auspices of The Chief Apostle, Presiding Bishop Dr. James L. Spence.

Membership into Word Harvest International is available and is structured in accordance to biblical order for spiritual leadership and government. The membership structure within Word Harvest is specifically set in order to ensure a sincere commitment by each member (church) to the other. {Without commitment no assemblage has stability}. Apostle James L. Spence, Presiding Prelate, stands for Holiness in the church of God. He believes all standards set forth in the local church shall be exclusively geared toward the perpetuation of that holiness.

Word Harvest International is a spiritual organism that perpetuates through establishing and receiving churches that have legitimately adhered to the federal and local laws of operation for religious non-profit organizations.

Word Harvest serves as a Christian organization that does not discriminate or promote prejudice on any basis. Our organizational Book of Government is designed to assist in the acclimation of all pastors in the rudiments of Word Harvest.

Word Harvest International is a federally recognized religious non-profit organization and has been approved to operate as a Christian covering. The original certification of Word Harvest International is established in the state of Maryland and a resident agent remains in good standing in the aforementioned state.

It is the sincere desire of The Chief Apostle to see churches embrace the integrity, honesty and order that are consistently offered to every church within the fellowship.

Organizational Vision

The vision of Word Harvest International is to embrace the initial mission of the Christian church, which is to make visible the invisible God through word and deed, hence bringing men to God through the knowledge of the love of Christ. As an organization, Word Harvest will offer a quality structure of spiritual enhancement and Christian excellence throughout each part of the body of Christ. We will assist in the equipping, preparing and validating process of each assemblage that has committed and submitted to the government of the organization.

It is the vision of our founder:

• To birth churches throughout the world, who will yield a sincere commitment to Christ and to each other.
• To ensure that any church seeking a true Holy covering will be extended an equal hand of love and support regardless of size or location.
• To strengthen the preparedness of Pastors through additional training and education in the word and in church affairs.
• To help in the structure and validation of churches by assisting them in becoming incorporated and federally recognized as official non-profit religious entities.
• To establish guidelines and by-laws for the organization that will mandate adherence to the standard of Holiness and biblical order.
• To assemble a group of churches who will not be divided in their focus or their commitment to their God and their organization, but who will rally to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ and the true vision of their Apostle.
• To fulfill the assignment of the Apostolic church in the preaching and teaching of the principles of the ministry of reconciliation.

As the founder and establishmentarian of Word Harvest International (FOC); Apostle Spence fully embraces the word of God for this organization, which says,” And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…”Ephesians 4:12.

Statement of Faith

We Believe:

• In the Bible as the divinely inspired inerrant Word of God, the revelation of His mind and will to man, our infallible, all-sufficient guide for salvation and Christian lifestyle (II tim. 3:16-17, II Pet. 1:20-21).
• In one God, existent in three manifestations: The Father in creation, the deity of Jesus Christ, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and son in redemption. The Holy Ghost in the church, He is our intercession, our inherent guide (John 1:1, Phil. 2:6, John 14:26).
• In the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the promise of everlasting life of the saints (John 3:26, I Thes. 4:17); and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Rev. 20:11-15).
• In the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, through which sacrifice Christ has effected complete and eternal redemption. God settling His seal of approval of the work of Christ by raising Him from the dead enthroned Him at His own right hand in Heaven and that He is the Head of the church, the High Priest over the House of God, and the Advocate in the family of God.
• In the salvation of everyone who by faith believes on Christ, rests on His finished work as the only righteous ground on which a Holy God can forgive sin.
• In all who have faith to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, must be born again of water, and of the Spirit in order to enter into the Kingdom of God of which He is the risen and ascended Head (John 3:5-7, Ephesians 1:22-23, Col. 1:18-19).
• That we are to follow the pattern of the early church who, “continued steadfastly in the Apostles” doctrine and fellowship and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42).
• In the personal imminent, and pre-tribulation coming of the Lord in the air to rapture (the catching away of) the church (I Thes. 4:13-17); and in the revelation of Christ in Glory at His second advent to the earth to establish His Kingdom on earth and to reign in righteousness (II Thes. 1:6-10, Phil. 2:9-11).
