Word of Life

Word of Life is a Family Church that has been in Sand Springs for over 30 years. We are a family church that has a heart to reach people. We believe that there are two types of people, those who need to be reached with the message of the saving power of Jesus Christ and those who know Jesus but are searching and yearning for the deeper things of God. Thus, our vision is "Reaching People, Inside Our Church and Outside Our Walls."

Outside our walls we participate in different activities within our city - from serving two elementary schools with the Back Pack Feeding program to working with the city in October for their annual Halloween event “Boo on Broadway” where an estimated 2,000 people pass by our free games and prize giveaways. 2013 started our 1st Annual Free Carnival for our community. We bring in mechanical carnival rides and provide food, haircuts and school supplies to our community -- all for FREE. We believe there are many ways to reach people and these are just a few that we participate in to bless our community and to reach more people.

Inside the walls we have our weekly services for kids, youth and adults. We have School of Life for those who want to become greater disciples of Christ. Circles are our small group ministries that focus on building relationships with people in our church. They are done in three semesters during the year and the groups range from once a month fellowship groups to weekly Bible study or specific topic groups. Circles are led by both our staff and church members.

We are a church that believes the Christian life should be fun and we incorporate that atmosphere into our services for kids, youth and adults. We do monthly “fun” activities for our families -- from going to Driller Baseball games to taking over a water park, we enjoy spending time together as a church family.

Word of Life is about relationships. We want you to know us and we want to know you. We know every person is at a different place in their Christian life. We want to help you grow in your relationship with Christ and at the same time do life together.
