WP Crow Store

James Bryson Crow bought this 212 acre farm from the Gettys family around the turn of the twentieth century. James' son, William Pinkney "Pink" Crow inherited the farm and opened the WP Crow Store in the 1920's. During this store's heyday, it was a hub of activity for the Duncan's Creek area. Everything from gas to horse feed could be purchased here and long lines could be found during harvest season, waiting to make use of the hammer mill which used to sit behind the store. The store has sat idle since the 1970's, a shadow of it's past glory. Many unsold items lingered on the shelves collecting dust, and waiting to be discovered.The old store is slowly being restored by it's new owners, and hopefully, will re-open in the next year or so, on a limited basis. With any luck, this landmark of Rutherford County, and Duncan's Creek will be around for many more generations to enjoy.
