WPRM Western Pacific in Z Scale Layout

The Western Pacific in Z Scale, as built by Model Railroader Magazine in 1986. Currently, the layout is in operation as a display inside the Gift Shop of the Western Pacific Railroad Museum. The layout itself is mostly unchanged, other than the plexiglass that has been added for the protection of the trains. The rolling stock, sadly, is not original and has been bought by members of the Model Railroad Committee to stock the layout and provide operational locomotives. We currently run two AZL Geeps and three MT Geeps, and while we have six MT F Units that can run, other factors prevent their use in long term operation that the layout can see on high traffic days. All things considered, we do our best to keep the layout operational with as little down time as possible so that visitors can enjoy the Western Pacific in Z Scale.
