More about Wyoming Partners of the Americas

Partners of the Americas brings together – volunteers, development professionals, governments, businesses, and higher education institutions – to the table in order to match resources, knowledge and passion to need. By connecting local organizations to broader funding opportunities and empowering citizens to become agents of change, we develop lasting solutions to our hemisphere’s toughest challenges, together.

It’s the simple notion of partnership, and we believe it can change everything.

Partners’ network of chapters across the Americas forms the core of our work. We also welcome individuals, organizations, and higher education institutions as members.

How Does Partners Work?

Partners is a 501(c)3 organization and formed by a network of permanent linkages among professionals, institutions and communities across the hemisphere.

Partners draws on this unique network of community-based chapters of people and organizations to:
* promote broader citizen participation;
* train community leaders;
* mobilize hemispheric collaboration; and
* strengthen grassroots organizations.

Who is Involved in Partners?

Men and women from all walks of life - including doctors, farmers, foresters, artists, city administrators, university professors, college and high school students and leaders of community organizations - participate in the program. Besides the time and technical expertise donated by Partner volunteers, a number of major corporations, foundations and government agencies support the work of the partnerships. Financial contributions by these organizations are made available to the partnerships in the form of travel grants, project assistance "seed" grants, and training opportunities.

What are Partners' Main Program Areas?
