Yes On 124

Why vote Yes on 124? Because this pension reform measure will:

● Save taxpayers money immediately, building to an estimated savings of $1.5 billion over the next 30 years. During that same time period, the reform plan will cut the public safety pension system's unfunded liabilities by an estimated 36 percent.

● Take the budget pressure of cities and towns by equalizing pension contributions between employers and employees. This ensures public safety and other core services will not be compromised.

● End pension spiking.

● Protect and secure a middle-class retirement for police officers and fire fighters well into the future. That’s especially critical for fire fighters because virtually 100% of us do not receive Social Security benefits.

One provision of this reform plan – the change to the cost of living allowance – requires a small change to the Arizona Constitution. That change, codified as Proposition 124, will be on the special election ballot on May 17, 2016.
